1. Agreement
By using HayRatio, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Educational planning only
HayRatio provides general forage-planning ranges and arithmetic tools. It is not veterinary, medical, nutritional, legal, or professional advice; it does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or manage disease; and it does not balance a complete ration.
Do not use HayRatio to prescribe grain, concentrates, supplements, salt, water, medication, or a condition-specific diet. Do not rely on it for foals, growing horses, pregnant or lactating mares, acute illness, recovery, or other special-health needs. Consult a veterinarian or qualified equine nutritionist before material feeding changes and for individual questions.
3. Your inputs and decisions
You are responsible for accurate weights, units, measurements, bale weights, prices, waste assumptions, planning percentages, and for checking results before use. Flakes and bales vary. A percentage of body weight does not account for forage analysis, pasture, other feed, body condition, workload, climate, dental status, or all individual factors.
4. App access and optional Pro
The free iPhone experience includes one horse, unlimited core calculations, the latest saved plan, sources, and safety guidance. Optional Pro features include unlimited horses and plans, history and seasonal planning, printable and shareable documents without HayRatio branding, and appearance options.
HayRatio Lifetime (hayratio_lifetime) is a one-time non-consumable purchase. HayRatio Annual (hayratio_annual) is an auto-renewing one-year subscription. There is no free trial. The app displays Apple’s localized price; U.S. launch pricing is $19.99 lifetime and $12.99 per year.
Annual subscriptions renew unless canceled through Apple at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple manages billing, cancellation, refunds, Family Sharing eligibility, taxes, and storefront terms. Restore Purchases requires the Apple ID used for purchase.
5. Local data and exports
HayRatio has no cloud account or sync in version 1. Local records can be lost if the device or app data is lost. You are responsible for keeping exports or backups that matter to you and for checking recipients before sharing a file.
6. Acceptable use
You may use HayRatio for lawful personal or internal barn planning. Do not interfere with the service, bypass access controls, distribute malware, misrepresent outputs as professional prescriptions, or use the product in a way that harms people, animals, systems, or rights.
7. Intellectual property and sources
HayRatio software, branding, original copy, and design are owned by Openverse Technology or its licensors. Source institutions own their materials. Bibliographic links and factual summaries do not imply endorsement by those institutions.
8. Availability and changes
We may correct formulas, update sources, change or discontinue features, or suspend the service for security, legal, or operational reasons. Version labels help identify the assumptions used for a plan.
9. Disclaimer and limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HayRatio is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Openverse Technology is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost data, lost profits, or animal-care decisions arising from use of HayRatio.
10. Apple terms
For the iPhone app, Apple’s applicable App Store terms and standard licensed application end user license agreement also apply. Apple is not responsible for HayRatio support, maintenance, or product claims except as required by those terms or law.
